Victim of the Beast 666?

Perhaps the true message is simply conveyed. Much has written on Crowley's notorious treatment of his many students and followers. He traveled and lived in The U.S. and Canada during the years 1915-1919. Apparently his presence in the States was profound; upon his death in 1947, his ashes were sent to followers in America. The timeframe fits; Crowley was born in 1875, and Lily in 1880. As far-fetched as it seems, I believe there is a good possibility that Lily could have known and been closely associated enough with Crowley to have had enough of an impact on her life, as to be immortalized on her tombstone. I am now focusing my attention on the Crowley theory in the investigation, and hope to uncover evidence of their affiliation soon.

    >>>I believe there is a good possibility that Lily could have known and been closely associated enough with Crowley<<<

It could also and easily enough be a reference to the prophesied "Great Beast" of Revelation, his number was stated as "six hundred, three score and six = 666. While it is tempting to link Lily and Crowley, i can't think of any supporting evidence. Crowley is known to have visited the East Coast, but I know of no mention of him visiting Utah, or even California, except after his death in the form of ashes. Too late to have had much to do with Lily anyway by that time.

It may well be that Lily (or her executor) was anti-Mormon. A lot of Mormon wives have had enough dislike for their Mormon husbands and the antiquated Mormon views on marriage to refer to a Mormon husband as "Beast 666" and to have considered themselves victims of this Beast. It seems a more likely explanation than a far-fetched theory about Crowley.

Of course, if you should find any evidence to support the idea, I would be very interested in seeing it. Otherwise, forgive me, but I must remain sceptical.
