What man is at ease in his Inn?
Get out.
Wide is the world and cold.
Get out.
Thou hast become an in-itiate.
Get out.
But thou canst not get out by the way thou camest in.
The Way out is THE WAY.
Get out.
For OUT is Love and Wisdom and Power.
Get OUT.
If thou hast T already, first get UT.
Then get O.
And so at last get OUT.

Mine is #91, The Heikle. And there is a story on this one also.
Once I taught a course on the Book of Lies at my Lodge. I was teaching one night on Chapter 13. At the break, I left the room for a minute and suddenly heard a silent mental voice in the back of my head say, "Teach them about Chapter 91."
So, I thought, "Chapter 91? But I'm on Chapter 13 tonight and there is no connection to 91 at all."
"Teach it anyway," the voice replied.
I thought about it. "No, I'm not going to do that unless you can show me some connection between Chapters 13 and 91," I said, stubbornly.
This brought no response, except possibly a somewhat brooding silence.
When I got back to the class and the dry erase board, I had barely gotten started before one of the students asked, "Bob, what does that expression on the right hand page mean? the squiggle (1--13)?"
So, I said, "The squiggle is the Greek letter sigma and the 1--13 means that you're supposed to add the numbers one through thirteen. Here, let me show you. (Adding numbers on board) 13 + 12 = 25, +11 = 36. . .+ 4 = 85, + 3 = 88, + 2= 90, + 1=. . . . . . .Oh, shit. . . .I give up. Class please turn to Chapter 91."
HGA has a truly inspired sense of humor, no?

Fri, November 2, 2007 - 11:09 AMI thought it was just bad poetry. Now I know it is Crowley's bad poetry.
Whe can I come in again?
